Echoview Software attending SEAC Workshop

SEAC-Workshop-Echoview-Hydroacoustics
23 January, 2025

We are pleased to attend and support the Southeast Regional Acoustics Consortium (SEAC) Workshop on March 4-5 at the Gulf Coast State College, Panama City, Florida.

SEAC is a collaborative working group that connects academic institutions, federal and regional fisheries agencies, environmental management organizations, and private industry conducting acoustics research in U.S. coastal environments from North Carolina to Texas and the U.S. Caribbean.

The 2025 workshop will showcase updates on active acoustics research from academic, state, and federal scientists. It is also an excellent opportunity to connect with potential collaborators employing diverse acoustic approaches. Activities include oral presentations, student lightning talks, a poster session, informal discussions, and live demonstrations of emerging acoustic technologies.

Plenary speaker David Demer, Ph.D., Senior Scientist for Surveys and Data Acquisitions at NOAA Fisheries, will present on the use of acoustic-trawl and acoustic-optical methods to modernize fishery-independent surveys.

We are pleased to showcase our flagship software, Echoview®, at this event. Renowned among scientists, fisheries professionals, and environmental managers in 70 countries, Echoview excels in visualizing, processing, and analyzing data. It supports studies in ecology, conservation, and management with compatibility across a wide range of file formats for single beam and multibeam echosounders, ADCPs, and imaging sonars.

Echoview offers advanced analytical tools for zooplankton, fish, vegetation, and bottom classification, making it suitable for a wide range of aquatic applications, including stock assessment, behavioral and ecological studies, aquaculture, and environmental monitoring.

Our Chief Scientist, Briony Hutton, will provide an update on the latest in Echoview and will also be available to discuss our specialized training, consulting, and other client services options.
