Mike Palin, our Regional Sales Manager for Europe, is lacing up for a 50km ultramarathon to raise funds for Dementia UK. After completing the 25km route last year, Mike has set his sights higher in 2025, aiming to double the distance and make twice the impact.

Mike plays a key role at Echoview Software, supporting customers and clients across Europe with their hydroacoustic (active acoustic) data processing needs. But outside of the office, he’s tackling a challenge that’s both physical and deeply personal.

“In addition to my own family being affected by this cruel disease, every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia - it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. But with the support of an Admiral Nurse and Dementia UK, families facing the fear and confusion of dementia know they’re not alone.”

Mike has set a fundraising goal of £500, or 1p for every metre he runs. Every donation, no matter the size, helps—and goes directly toward supporting the vital work of Dementia UK and its Admiral Nurses.

You can support his journey by visiting his JustGiving page. Every contribution is appreciated.
