Hosted by the Marine Technology Society and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, this year’s theme, New horizons in blue tech: bridging knowledge and innovation, recognizes how the Great Lakes region serves as a bridge for two nations to the sea.
The program will highlight topics including entrepreneurship for the blue economy, coastal resiliency, spill response, cold climate ecosystem observations, Indigenous observing in the Great Lakes, and more.
This annual event brings together marine technologists, engineers, students, government officials, and advocates for four days of discussions on relevant topics and current trends, dedicated to advancing research, practices, and policies in the marine field. The conference will feature educational sessions, workshops, and technical papers, with more than 2,000 attendees expected.
