Chelsey has joined Echoview Software with over 6 years’ experience in hydroacoustics. She recently obtained her viva for her PhD from the University of the Highlands and Islands, which focused on target classification of zooplankton in wideband echosounder data using machine learning.
Prior to her PhD Chelsey worked for a government agency, using hydroacoustics to measure streamflow for water resource monitoring and flood warning purposes. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia.
Based in the UK and supporting our new UK office, she is excited to support Echoview’s global community of users obtain the best possible hydroacoustic data outputs for their work.
When she is not at her desk, Chelsey can usually be found outside enjoying nature: gardening, kayaking, or walking in the hills with her dog…Or, more commonly, staring out of the window at the unrelenting Scottish rain and thinking about being outside.
Welcome to the team Chelsey!
