Data Scientist/Specialist

The Cooperative Institute for Marine Ecosystems and Climate (CIMEAS) with the Fisheries Collaborative Program in the Institute of Marine Sciences, invites applications for the position of Data Scientist.
The role will involve AI/ML techniques for improving echo classification of small pelagic fishes (SPF) off the U.S. West Coast.
The position will be located at NOAA’s Southwest Fisheries Science Center in San Diego, CA, and applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
Please note there are two application options specific to the applicant's qualifications (Project Scientist or Specialist). Please refer to the minimum qualifications to determine which pool to apply for.
