Echoview 17 is coming soon! We're sharing some sneak peeks of innovative new features that bring acoustic and supporting data closer together, expand the possibilities for custom analysis, and help you process complex datasets more efficiently.
First up: multiple detection configurations.
Fine-tuning detection settings is a key part of generating reliable and repeatable acoustic analysis results. Different datasets, species, survey designs, and processing goals can all require different assumptions and parameter choices.
In Echoview 17, we’re adding support for multiple detection configurations for single beam and multibeam school and fish track detections. This will make it easier to define, manage, and revisit alternative detection settings within a workflow, reducing the need for manual adjustments and helping you to compare approaches more efficiently and consistently.
Detections can be configured using the new Region Detection page in EV File Properties, replacing the previous Schools and Fish Tracks pages.
Echoview 17 will be available for beta testing in the coming weeks, and will be officially released later in 2026.
