Echoview 16 is coming soon! This release includes exciting new ways to bring your data in and out of Echoview. We’re adding support for more file types and enhancing existing compatibility.

Brand new in Echoview 16
- Humminbird fish finders: you can directly read and process *.dat and *.son files recorded by Humminbird consumer-grade sonars, including the 900/1100 series, Helix, Solix, and Apex models.
- Convert narrowband Sv, TS and angular position data from any single beam echosounder to *.nc files, supporting seamless data exchange and collaboration. Exported data follows version 2 of the ICES SONAR-netCDF4 convention, using the Type 5 conversion equation. These files can also be loaded in Echoview.
- Support for *.table.csv files containing time series data, opening up new ways to explore your acoustic data alongside any type of related measurements.

Updates to existing formats:

These additions and updates are part of our ongoing commitment to making Echoview the most versatile tool for hydroacoustic data analysis, ensuring greater flexibility, interoperability, and precision in your active acoustics workflows. By working closely with manufacturers and researchers, we ensure Echoview keeps pace with the evolving needs of the hydroacoustic community.
Echoview 16 will be available for beta testing in the coming weeks, and will be officially released later in 2025.
