Experience new features in Echoview 15.1
Echoview 15.1 is now available as a free upgrade for all licensed users of Echoview 15. This update includes a selection of user-requested features designed to enhance workflow efficiency while maintaining Echoview’s commitment to best-practice hydroacoustic data analysis. Echoview continues to set the standard for reliable, trusted software whilst leading the way for advancements in active acoustic science and technology.
Key highlights include:
Sonardyne ADCP echosounder mode compatibility
Echoview 15.1 introduces support for echosounder data recorded to *.bgram files by Origin 600 and Origin 65 acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs). The option to record echosounder data from Origin ADCPs allows Sonardyne customers to capture comprehensive marine environmental data from a single deployment device and then extract key information from the recorded data using Echoview.
Other features:
- Blueprint Subsea Oculus pitch and roll acceptable value range is expanded to -180 to 180 degrees.
- More data is read from partially corrupted Navico Group Lowrance sonar log data files.
- New analysis variables Target_elongation and Target_elongation_across_beams provide additional metrics for multibeam target analysis and classification.
- New EV File Properties Python source file tab for Python search paths, improving access across different machines and configurations.
- Kongsberg EK80 improvements for narrowband data collected at a non-nominal frequency.
- Echograms exported to multiple (split) images follow a consistent naming pattern.
- The Line and Surface and Region Classification tools found in the Echogram toolbar dynamically resize to accommodate longer names.
- The maximum tab width for docked panels is increased, ensuring that longer variable names are more readable.
- Documentation updates for Furuno FVC-38 and bottom classification equations, and more.

Echoview 15.1 is compatible with 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
