The role
As Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within the corporate services team. As a highly organised and motivated individual with outstanding communication skills, you will provide end to end accounting for three entities within the Echoview Group and exceptional financial analysis, while liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Managing month-end close processes
- Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support strategic decision-making
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to management to enhance business performance
- Managing tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Assisting with external and internal audits
- Stakeholder management (ATO, financial institutions, insurance, auditors, etc)
- Contributing to continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and systems
Part time or full-time hours are negotiable.
What we are looking for
Required:
- Tertiary qualification related to accounting
- Proven experience as an accountant, with solid understanding of accounting principles & procedures
- Experience with financial analysis, tax filing, budgeting, and forecasting
- The ability to prepare, interpret and translate financial statements and insights
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- The right to work in Australia
Desirable:
- Working towards, or hold, a CA/CPA qualification
